Shucking oysters!
In France, with good company, we prepare for the evening’s celebrations opening oysters. Though chilly out, there’s a lot of satisfaction in cracking open oysters and, of course, you get to enjoy the odd sample.
A protective glove is needed to avoid any accidents from the knife slipping and it needs to be done outside as the juices spill all over the place.
