It’s a bank holiday weekend here in the UK, probably in other places, to celebrate May Day and the coming of summer.
It’s the first time I’ve made it and I’m very proud. I only made it because I had all these cabbages sitting around and it was a lot simpler than I thought:
- Grate a couple of onions and some carrots
- Slice up the cabbage – white, red or green
- Add a tablespoon of mustard, the juice of a lemon and a couple of tablespoons of mayonnaise
- Mix it up
- That’s it!
So… I’ve made the coleslaw – where’s the barbecue?
